This Community Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 21st at the First Congregational Church in Lebanon at 6:30 – 8:30 PM
We have all seen the headlines about the administration’s opposition to social programs, but sometimes the most serious impacts are the ones that don’t make the news – slight change to eligibility paperwork here, a layoff of a critical administrator there, a phone line that no one is answering. While each change might seem small, each of these cuts together add up to the same thing: Americans being denied their basic rights and needs for survival.
In this panel, we will hear from experts on critical social programs and services: housing, healthcare, energy, and food. After the main panel, everyone will get to also participate in small group discussions about how we, as an Upper Valley community, can come together to take action to support each other in these dangerous times.
As always, we will have lightning shares at the start of the meeting. If you have something on-mission to share that our community could help with, please sign up for a 3 minute slot to talk about it.
(Due to the incredible panelists running breakout groups, lightning sharers this month won’t have a chance to run a breakout session, but we welcome you to come back and do so in October)
Help the members of our community who are most in need by donating spare (or purchased) camping equipment to be distributed through our community needs experts. Bring any of the following to the community meeting:
