Upper Valley Coalition Community Meeting
The next Community Meeting will be held on Saturday, August 23 at the First Congregational Church in Lebanon at 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Keynote Speaker: Cathy Geiger, PhD
Cathy is a semi-retired sea-ice geophysicist who is passionately involved with sea ice since 1984. She is a staff member at Dartmouth College at the Geisel School of Medicine and sole-proprietor of the Vermont Field Station. The common link across a diverse career is an innate understanding of large data systems, their geographical relationships to other systems, and the clear communication of these complex systems across diverse international socio-geopolitical-economic groups.
At the meeting we will discuss climate change, the state of science under the current administration, and how the administration uses and abuses language to inflame us.
As always, join us for a fascinating topic, deep discussion with our experts, and opportunities to get involved in ongoing work to strengthen our community through various breakout sessions.
