No Kings Day

June 14 @ 12:00 pm1:30 pm

There are nearly 2,000 No Kings Day demonstrations planned for June 14. There’s an action in absolutely every state in the US and some in other countries as well.
Be inspired by standing with your friends, neighbors, and colleagues—even the ones you haven’t met yet—this Saturday, June 14.

And you won’t have to drive far.

List of No King’s event’s in the Upper Valley.

June 14–Noon to 1:30: Honk and wave from Railroad Ave. to Highland Ave, and down Bridge St. (NH) to Maple St. and Bridge St. (VT). In other words, the main street of West Lebanon over the bridge to the town hall in White River Junction, VT.
Parking, as we all know, is limited in this area. These are the suggested areas to leave your car and if you can carpool, please do. Parking is available while it lasts at the east end of the White River Co-op parking lot, the Hartford Town Hall, Mt. Lebanon School, and the SAU 88 Building.

June 14–11:00 a.m to 1 p.m.: Tribou Park, Woodstock, VT. This is the wedge of land where Route 4 (Central Street) and Pleasant Street diverge.

June 14–10:30 a.m to noon: Bridge Street (the bridge) from Orford, NH to Fairlee, VT

June 14–3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Huse Park on Route 4 in Enfield, NH

June 14–9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: 53 Lyme Road (near the Richmond Middle School) in Hanover, NH

Note: Dartmouth graduation is Sunday, June 15, so there will be lots of additional traffic to contend with in Hanover.

A few more things before we go—all of the planned demonstrations are asking you to do the following:

  • Bring signs that support the mission. Please don’t bring anything deliberately provocative.
  • Be respectful and watch over the folks standing around you.
  • Do not take pictures. Remember, many of the January 6 riot participants were identified via videos and photos taken during that time.
  • Bring water. Wear comfortable shoes, and, this being a Saturday in the Upper Valley, wear rain gear. There are predictions of wetness.
  • Do NOT engage with anyone who tries to provoke you. Folks are on edge so do not engage.
  • There will be volunteers on hand for crowd control. Ask for help if you need it.
  • Be respectful of our police officers. Taking care that we are all safe is a tough enough job. Let’s not make it any more difficult for them.
  • Do not block traffic or pedestrians.
  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • Make sure someone knows of your demonstrations plans. If possible, go with someone you trust.
