Ethical Leadership Training

June 29 @ 2:30 pm5:30 pm

While it may be true that very few people are natural leaders, leadership is a quality that can be nurtured.

Don Collins, founder of Upper Valley Coalition, will offer an Introduction to Leadership at the First Congregational Church on Sunday, June 29, 2:30 -5:30 PM.

This introductory session covers the basic requirements of Ethical Leadership: integrity, good listening skills and empathy. This training helps clarify your own goals and aspirations as well as the aspirations of the people you encourage to join you in the pro-democracy movement.

This session includes the following:
• Discussion of the conflict between ego and commitment for leaders.
• How an ethical leader finds resolution for that conflict.
• Reinforcement of the knowledge that, as a part of being human, we all make mistakes.
• How, as leaders, we make peace with that even as we create systems to minimize the damage when mistakes are made.

There is no ongoing commitment necessary to attend this session. However, it is the foundation for two in-depth training sessions scheduled to take place over the next few months.

Don Collins has led or been a part of leadership training for the last 20 years.

There is a limit of 20 seats available for this course, and there are still a few places left. If you want to attend this training, please send an email to resist@uvcoalition.org with the word “Leadership” in the subject line.
