The towns of Lebanon, Bethel, and Hartford, Vermont, are proud to announce a joint Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Lyman Point Park, 167 Maple Street, White River Junction. This joyful community gathering will honor the spirit of Juneteenth—the day that marks the end of slavery in the United States—and celebrate freedom, resilience, and unity across our towns.
The event will feature live music, delicious food, games and activities for children, and inspiring speeches and reflections.
We are thrilled to welcome a dynamic lineup of speakers:
• Vermont senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale
• Vermont senator Joe Major
• Hartford High School students
• New Hampshire Executive Council Member Karen Liot Hill
• Shirley A. Jefferson, Vice President of Vermont Law School
(Lyman Point Park is the official name of the green space surrounding the Hartford Town Hall in White River Junction.)
