Does it trouble you that there’s a Constitutional crisis at hand in our country, and yet so many people are unaware of it or ignoring it?

Do you want to know how to enroll people in the resistance to the current administration? Or are you concerned that no matter what you do, you can’t make a difference?

If any of the above is true, Ethical Leadership Training might quiet your concerns. This course recognizes that very few people are natural leaders. But leadership is a quality that can be nurtured.

As the resistance to the worst aspects of the current administration grows, there’s a need for new people to take on leadership roles. The time is now to nurture leaders who are guided by their integrity and their commitment to a vision of a more inclusive and civil society based on mutual interdependence.

Don Collins, founder of Upper Valley Coalition, will offer an Introduction to Leadership at the First Congregational Church on Sunday, June 29, 2:30 -5:30 PM.

This introductory session covers the basic requirements of Ethical Leadership: integrity, good listening skills and empathy. This training helps clarify your own goals and aspirations as well as the aspirations of the people you encourage to join you in the pro-democracy movement.

This session includes the following:
• Discussion of the conflict between ego and commitment for leaders.
• How an ethical leader finds resolution for that conflict.
• Reinforcement of the knowledge that, as a part of being human, we all make mistakes.
• How, as leaders, we make peace with that even as we create systems to minimize the damage when mistakes are made.

There is no ongoing commitment necessary to attend this session. However, it is the foundation for two in-depth training sessions scheduled to take place over the next few months.
